What I offer as a therapist
From one-on-one sessions to group work and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I believe that we all carry emotional wounds from the past – painful experiences that get tucked away beneath the surface of our awareness. While they may remain hidden for a while, life inevitably brings moments that trigger this buried pain. In those moments, you may find yourself overreacting to everyday situations, shutting down emotionally, lashing out, or feeling overwhelmed. Afterwards, you might be left with feelings of guilt, shame, or self-criticism.
ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS
In my one-on-one sessions, I work with whatever is present for you in the moment. Together, we explore what’s causing your current distress or discomfort. Through a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions, we gently uncover what lies beneath the surface – often hidden trauma or emotional wounds. By bringing awareness to these deeper layers, and by feeling and releasing what has long been held inside, healing becomes possible. As the pain resolves, the challenges in your daily life begin to shift accordingly.
I work with the body as a key pathway to access and release stored emotional pain. Some of the approaches I use include inner child work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, regression therapy, and family constellations. These methods support you in reconnecting with and healing the parts of yourself that have been buried or neglected.
Working with internal family systems in a group
Working with Internal Family Systems (IFS) in a group brings something special.
You learn to look at your own inner world with kindness — and at the same time, you begin to see others with that same compassion. What once felt like yours alone often turns out to be deeply familiar to someone else. That recognition softens things. It brings connection and understanding where there may once have been judgment or shame.
In group, a safe space emerges where everyone can explore, feel, share, or simply be — at their own pace. The presence of others strengthens the process: you see that no one is alone in their struggles, and that every step, no matter how small, matters.
IFS helps you get to know the different parts within yourself — the protectors, the vulnerable ones, the inner voices you might ignore or criticize. In the group, you practice staying with them compassionately. Over time, this builds trust, calm, and a greater sense of inner coherence.
You can reach out to me if you find yourself struggling with:
anxiety, tension, or restlessness
perfectionism or a need to stay in control
self-criticism or self-rejection
feelings of guilt or shame
a constant sense of not being good enough
difficulty setting boundaries or taking up space
overthinking or feeling stuck in your head
fatigue or a sense of emptiness
insecurity or lack of self-confidence
inner restlessness or feeling disconnected from yourself
taking too much responsibility or always caring for others
recurring patterns in relationships
sadness or unresolved grief
difficulty feeling or expressing emotions
a longing for more peace, trust, and connection
Together we look with gentle attention at what lies beneath, so that space can open for more ease, clarity, and authenticity.
What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by R. Schwartz, is a gentle yet powerful approach that helps you reconnect with your authentic essence, which we call the Self. From this place, you can meet life with greater clarity, wisdom, and compassion.
IFS not only supports you in understanding and transforming patterns in your daily life—it also offers a pathway to heal old wounds. Often, present-day situations trigger feelings or reactions that are rooted in earlier experiences. These moments can awaken unresolved pain from the past, sometimes without us even realizing it. Through IFS, you are invited to gently turn toward these wounded parts of yourself, to listen to their stories, and to offer the compassion and care they once needed. In this way, IFS creates space for deep healing and release.
This process can bring meaningful change in many areas:
building self-esteem
softening perfectionism
moving beyond procrastination
transforming relationship patterns
releasing people-pleasing tendencies
navigating grief
working with anger
easing depression
healing struggles with eating or addiction
feeling freer in social situations
and quieting the inner critic.
At its heart, IFS is about creating a more harmonious relationship with your inner world—one where all parts of you can be heard, understood, and supported.
What HAPPENS IN AN IFS SESSION?
In an IFS session, I guide you to explore the different parts of yourself—the inner voices or patterns that may be in conflict or holding you back. With curiosity and compassion, we create a safe space where these parts can share their stories and needs. As you listen to them, you begin to understand how they once tried to protect you, and why they continue to show up in your life today.
Often, this process leads us back to old pain or trauma stored within your system. IFS offers a pathway to meet these wounded parts with kindness and care, so they no longer need to carry their burdens alone. Healing happens when these parts feel truly seen, understood, and supported by your Self—the calm and compassionate core within you.
This work unfolds not only in the mind but also in the body. Old wounds and protective patterns are often held physically. By bringing awareness to your bodily sensations, we invite deeper release and integration. In this way, healing becomes an embodied experience—helping you feel more grounded, whole, and connected to yourself.
